Ted Rachlin is a graduate of both the University of Toronto
Faculty of Law and Osgoode Hall Law School. He was admitted
to the Ontario Bar in 1959 and to the Bar of New York State
in 1985. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1975. He has been
certified as a specialist in civil litigation by the Law
Society since the inception of certification in 1988.
His practice is concentrated in personal injury and
insurance litigation, including medical malpractice,
and he is equally comfortable representing plaintiffs
and defendants. He has handled many major lawsuits
and is frequently retained by other lawyers to assist
with their cases.

He was for 15 years a member of the Board of Governors
of the
American Association for Justice.
He is a past president of The Advocates' Society,
the major trial lawyers organization in Ontario. He has
for many years been an invited Fellow of both the
American College of Trial Lawyers and the
International Society of Barristers.
Ted has lectured extensively to legal groups across Canada
and in the United States and England and has published many
articles in legal journals.
He has been recognized by LEXPERT Directory as a leading
practitioner in the personal injury field and is given the
highest possible rating for legal ability and ethical standards
by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory which ranks lawyers
throughout the United States and Canada.
He has been selected by his peers to be listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada.
